Centered around yoga, Waves Words Movement is an yoga community for those who seek connection through nature, movement, story, and music. The goal is to offer experiences that vibrate high, celebrate life and allow for growth and transformation within this wild and ever changing life.
Waves Words Movement offers online yoga experiences heavily influenced by nature, the ocean, music, story, poetry and yoga philosophy. Each offering aims to honor the tradition of yoga. The approach is a blend of safe modern movement with all the things you love about vinyasa yoga. There is space for meditation, pranayama, and self reflection. WWM hopes to move through life’s challenges and celebrations with you. I believe that yoga can expand healing and enliven the exploration of life.
We offer a range of online yoga classes and outdoor expe for all levels. A place to be together and share in the things that inspire happiness.
About Keri:
My yoga practice started at home, in New York City, when I was looking for a new way to move my body and exercise. I had done yoga in college and liked it but it wasn't anything more than gym credits. Years later, in 2007, I made my way into a yoga studio and I found myself going back over and over again. That studio, the community and my yoga practice, become a foundation for me, it supported so many transformations and changes in my life. I did my teacher training in 2012 at that same studio, Laughing Lotus Yoga Center, under the guidance of Mary Dana Abbott and Lauren Magarelli.
I have been inspired by 11+ years of regular practice with brilliant teachers; Mary Dana Abbott, Francesca Bove, Sheri Celentano, Ali Cramer, Lauren Magarelli, Magi Pierce, Ariel Karass, Nikki Vilella and many others.
Additional training hours: 175 advanced training hours from Laughing Lotus NYC; 30 advanced training hours from Light on Lotus Los Angeles; 85 hrs studying Katonah Yoga under the guidance of Mary Dana Abbott
I continue to refine the teaching I'm known for: steady, rhythmic and creative vinyasa. I use movement and breath to move through challenges on the mat and in life. I believe in the medicine of movement, music, words and nature. It is my wish to share that with you.
